Over The Course Of Its 35-year Existence, It Has Been The City’s Sole Metro Line. Third Rail Is Used To Provide 750 Volt Direct Power To The Line, Which Runs On 1676 Mm (Broad Gauge) Rails.
Each Train Has Eight Carriages And Travels At A Maximum Speed Of 55 Km/h With A Headway Of Five To Seven Minutes. It Passes Through Some Of The Most Well-known And Crowded Parts Of The City From North To South.
