On October 21, the presence of three prahars of Lakshmi and three and a half prahars of Vriddhi Gamini Pratipada makes it inauspicious for performing the Naakta Vrat and evening Lakshmi Pujan.
Therefore, October 20, 2025, has been declared as the correct day for Diwali celebration.
An online meeting on Dharmashastra and Jyotish Darshan was held on October 4, 2025, at the residence of Prof. Ramchandra, the Senior Vice President of the Council. After evaluating all traditional scriptures and astrological calculations, the scholars unanimously concluded that the Pradosh Kaal on October 20 aligns perfectly with Lakshmi-Ganesh Puja.
